Olive Branch School: The Wayne County Historical Society maintains a long-term photographic exhibit of selected photographs of students from early rural schools in the county. The enlarged photos are mounted inside the Olive Branch School in Fairfield. The museum/school is owned and maintained by the Fairfield Park District. For security reasons, the building is not left open. The Society staffs the Olive Branch museum on selected occasions (especially during FCHS Homecoming weekend) and for grade school field trips. Primary access is via the Leo French Park staff.
For more history on the Olive Branch School building see its entry on the school history page here.

The Society funded the printing of over forty enlargements of various historical photographs spanning from the 1800s through the 1960s. These photographs are mounted in a permanent exhibit in the main hallways of the courthouse. The framing costs were donated by Judge Joe Harrison in cooperation with County Treasurer Donna Vaughan. The exhibit allows all the patrons of the various courthouse offices throughout the year to enjoy a visual history experience.
